CHIROPRACTIC RADIOLOGY
Chiropractic radiologists are board certified radiologists, specializing in spine and musculoskeletal imaging.
What is a Chiropractic Radiologist?
A chiropractic radiologist is a doctor of chiropractic (DC), who is also a board-certified Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (DACBR). In addition to an undergraduate degree and three and a half years (10 trimesters) of chiropractic education, a DACBR has completed a minimum of a three and a half years in a full-time post-doctorate residency in the study of diagnostic imaging. Many residencies work closely with local hospitals for rotations with medical radiologists in addition to their own reading responsibilities during residency. Chiropractic radiologists are trained in the areas of radiography (x-rays), MRI, CT, scintigraphy, ultrasound, and other imaging modalities. While a chiropractic radiologist receives training as a general radiologist, they are primarily musculoskeletal and spine focused.
Why Choose a Chiropractic Radiologist?
There are many advantages to utilizing a chiropractic radiologist in your practice. One of the most pertinent advantages is the ability to have a close relationship with your radiologist. We take pride in the working relationships that we form with the doctors that we serve. With CLIC, you have your own radiologists, on call.
DACBRs are chiropractors, which means that we are well versed in chiropractic treatment. This makes chiropractic radiologists a valuable asset to the chiropractic doctor and a functional part of your team. A chiropractic radiologist may be able to better answer your questions regarding imaging, discuss findings which may affect your treatment plan, and assist in choosing appropriate follow-up for your patients.
As a chiropractic radiologist, our reports are specifically tailored to the needs of the chiropractic doctor. We can also modify or tailor our reports to suit your specific needs if you have particular measurements or items that you would like commented on in each report.
We can take the stress of your imaging needs off your plate, so you can spend more time helping your patients. For more information on the services that we can provide and testimonials from chiropractic physicians, please check out the Services page.
